From March 28 - April 6, 2025, I was in Hangzhou participating in a university collaboration between San Diego State University and Communication University of Zhejiang. After a decade of international teamwork and logistical planning, SDSU School of Journalism and Media Studies was finally able to send students to China for intercultural exploration and connection. I was among that first group of students to benefit from this program. I hold a deep gratitude and respect for everyone that was able to make this program possible–to say it was life-changing would be an understatement.
